Britain's supreme need was. production and her supremt danger inflation, said the Financial Secretary to the Treasury, Mr. Glanville Hall, moving the second reading of the Finance Bill. He ldded that the risks of inflation receded in proportion to increased production for the home and cverseas markets. » The Chancellor's decision to budget for a surplus of £270,000,000 has been accepted as a wise procedure, because it adds another bulwark against an inflationary flood."
