It was the 56th week of the campaign and returns were the best this year. . Last week's cont.ribution of 488U butter and 179,147* meat coupons brought the respective tofals to 369,068 and 9,648,417. The best contribution on a population basis was made by Gisborne with gifts of approximateiy threb coupons for each household. Christchurch, in second place, made the hignest total contribution of anj'' district and- averaged one and a half coupons for each household. The Hawke's Bay contribution was approximateiy one coupon for oach honsohold. v
