READY COMPETITION FOR FAT SHEEP There was a good yarding ' of dairy stock at the Levin weekly sale held yesterday. Fat cattle ,vere in medium supply. . A fair ntry of pigs was yarded. There was a full yarding of fat sheep, which met with ready competition •Lhroughout. The following is a .:ange of prices: — ' Sheep: Prime fat wethers, to 40s id; light fat wethers, 37s lOd to 38s 4d; b.f. 2-ths., to 39s 4d; prime 3wes, to 30s 7d; : medium; 27s lOd o 28s 4d; prime woolly b.f. lambs, 34s lOd to 36s 7d; other sorts, 29s 4d to 30s lOd; prime shorn w.L lambs, 34s lOd; store wethers, 33s 6d. Cattle: Vealers, to £6 7s 6d; runners, £9 11s 6d to £10 2s 6d; fat P.A. lieifers, £13 7s 6d to £14 2s >d; fat P.A. cows, £11 17s 6d to £13 7s 6d; ex-dairy cows, £5 17s 6d to £7 7s 6d; dairy cows on drop,^ £9 15s to £11 10s; heifers on drop, £14 15s to £15 10s; store cows, £3 10s to £5 15s; good wea'ner jersey heifers, £5 to £5 15s. Pigs : Light porkers, £2 8s to £3 10s; medium, £3 16s to £4 7s; orime, £4 16s to £4 18s; choppers, £5 15s to £9 5s; light stores, £1 12s to £2 7s.
