WEDDING BELLS

WILLIAMS — ALLAN A quiet biit pretty wedding took place recently at St. Peter's Church, Paekakariki, the officiating clergyman ' being the Rev, Riekells, of paraparaumu. The contracting parties were Ngaire Meryl, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Williams, of Paekakariki, and Robert Cunningham, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Allan, of Otaki. The church was decorated with chrysanthe'mums by the many friends of the popular couple. The bride was given away by her father, and wore a white satin dress, with long train and veil. The veil, with white flowers, also formed the head dress. Her bridesmaid, Miss Joy Sorenson, of Wellington, wore a pretty pink dress, carried bouquets to match their dresses. Mr. Douglas Allan, brother of the bridegroom, proved a very able bestman. The reception was held at "Awatea," where the tables were decorated with Ieeland poppies. A bountiful wedding breakfast had been provided by the Misses Dormer, friends of both families. Toasts were honoured and some amusement was caused by the many telegrams which conveyed good wishes to the happy couple, who left by express for the North, where the honeymoon will 'oe spent. They were farewelled by a large number of friends.
