The lake levels are holdihg fairly well despite the lack of rain and Karapiro 's contribution is really important, tlie general manager of the State' Hydfo-eleetfic- Department, iMr. F. T. M Kissell, said today. Karapiro was supplying 4,000,000 units weekly compared with drowned Horahora 's capaeitV of 1,500,000 units. The only rain reported during last week was .2 incftes at Mangahao and .01 inclies at Waikaremoana. Taupo remained steady over the weekend but the levels at Waikaremoana and Mangahao dfopped slightty.
