Salniond, in the coiirse of a memorial service held iii St. Atidfew's- Presbyteriart Church, Levin, on Stmday morning, The late Mr, Davie was a ,past elder and clerk of session concinued Mr. Salmond, and had' for the past 23 years Worked zealOusiy for the- weifare of the eongrega-^ doh and Cihristian witness in the cOWn and distridt. He had been hiterdsted in every phase of co'ngregationai iife, and had SeiWed as ' representativ'e „ elder for St. Andrew's on the Wellington Pres-^ bytery and last year represtnted church at the Pfesbyteriah General Assembly. "Our friend," said Mt.( Salmond, "enjoyed his service in this cdmmunity as an efficient ahd hOnourable business man."
