COMING EVENTS IN TENNIS
WELLINGTON, May 9. The New Zealand Davis Cup team will probably play a match against the International Club of Great Britain in Scotland after it has eompleted its engagements in Norway, and at Wimbledon. Advice to this effect is contained in the quarterly report of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association. The report says the manager of the team, Mr., E. D. Andrews, was endeavouring to arrange such a matcH and also a game against Bel giuin at Brussels. The prolits to the New Zealand Association from matches played by the United States Davis Cup team in New Zealand last year, amounted to £357 11s 9d after £215 0s lOd had been allocated to the Auckland Association. The Talbert-Mulloy matclies realised a proHt of £625 17s lOd of which £175 6s went to the Hutt Valley and Canterbiiry Associations. Applications for the New Zealand ehampionships next season had been received. from the .Auckland and Hutt Valley Associations and the management committee recommended that Auckland 's ap^lication be granted. The North Island ehampionships for the 1947-48 season will be at Hawera from Deeember 26 to December 30 and theSouth Island ehampionships will be at Christchurch during Easter,
