ARMED HOLD UP IN BROAD DAYLIGHT
Received Friday, 9 p.m. SYDNEY, May 9. Two armed masked men walked into the office of Fesq Oasson and Company Proprietary Limited, wine merchants, Day Street, 'Sydney, this afternoon, menaced the office staff with their guns and departed with £80. The hold-up occtirred at the busiest time of the day when the city" streets were crowded with people in town tor the weekend shopping. The men walked up the stairs leading to the office on the first floor and appeared wearing masks and brandishing pistols. "This is a hold-up. We want all the money you've got," said one. A girl employee handed them £80 ana they ran down the stairs into Day Street. A car load of detectives from the Oommonwealth Investigation brancn was quickly on the scene and a searcn of the surrounding streets was made. The hunt is still proceeding with the aid of uniformed and plain clothes police and a wireless car and motorcycle- patrols. »
