Personal Des., son of Mr, and Mrs. Albert Capewell, of Otaki, is among the Scouts who have gone to the world jamboree in France. Miss Betty Cockrell, who has been in Wellington for some time and who is spending a holiday in Otaki, leaves shortly to take up permanent residence in Auckland. Miss Lochore, of the Otaki State School staff, "will spend her holiday at Upper Hutt. ' Miss Cockrell will go to Christchurch, while Mr. and Mrs. Renner will spend their holiday at Lower Hutt. Nurse Horner, sister of Mrs. W. Clarke, of Te Horo, is at present among the visitors to Otaki. Nurse Horner recently returned after doing UNRRA work in Germany and China, and will return in a month's time for two years' work with CORSO in China. Improvements at Raukawa The Raukawa is to be renovated, the place to be lined, the jservery to be improved and made4 up-to-date, and for the purpose of raising funds a dance and card evening will be held on Friday night, when admission, including supper, will be only 2s. Donations towards renovations will be gratefully jcepted. •
