IMPROMPTU CONCERT
To raise funds for trarisportinpr the school choir taking part in the festival of music shortly, an excellent impromptu concert was staged in the Raukawa Hall. A large audience showed its appreciation by continued applause, the children rising to the occasion and givi'ng of their best. The following was the programme: Pianoforte solo,. Alison Lowe; songs, standard 4; dances, lower infants; percussion band, middle infants; play in costume, Standard 3; two playettes, upper infants; action so'ng, Standard 2;
vocal duet, Form 2 girls; playette, Form 1; and Maori action songs, Maori pupils; recitation and verse speaking, Standard 1.
