Received Wednesdav, 7 p.m. LONDON, May 7. The removal of all war researeh equipment from the British zone of (iermany is now almost complete. It liiis involved months of intensive work by teams of service technieians. The lnige Luftwafie aerodynamic establishlueut at Gottingen, oue of the best '(|iii{i]')ed and largest in the world, has been entirelv stripped and the maehines which once operated eleven wind tunnels, are now paeked ready for sliipnient to Britain where they will be nsed at the aeronautieal researeh station now being built at Bedford. Ten of the tunnels have been destroyed but the eleventh was so large that its dejnolition presents Serious problexns. It was specially niade to test high flying eonditions and with special refrigeralion apparatus it eould roproduce eonditions at 40,000 fcet. In order to insulate the tunnel, (Iermany bought the entire Spanish cork erop for 1942 but just when insulation was completed, a Russian slavc worker set fire to it. The stonevvork was undamaged but the Germans were never afterwards able to secure enough cork to repair the insulation. ♦
