TRIAL OF GERMAN GENERALS

A Nuremberg inessage says von Runstedt and other liigh ranking German generals at present in the hands oi' the British, may soon be tried before an international militarv tribunal. The trial will be. a joint Anglo-Ameri-can responsibili-ty. The British, iil addition to von Runstedt, hold von Brauchitsch and Manstein and the Americans von Leeb and a number of other lower ranking German generals. The charges against Runstedt, Brauchitsch and Leeb will be the same as those preferred against Keitel and Jodl. Subordinate commanders will be cliarged with carrving out Hitler's orders to shoot commandos, issuing orders for the extermination of Jews and planning and waging aggressive war.
