This sum is over treble the amoun. of the aliotted disLict weekly qupta oi £3551. The cit} recorded hlghest iigures, (£432-8 1M lld), while ipQS-. prorrtinent of the district towns wpre Feilding (£2147 14s), Dannevirke (£1388 11s 6d), Pahiatua (£1104 15s Gd) aqd Levin (£796 17s). On a quota basis, however, Kimbolton was in first placc with £258 Qs. Ond these figures giv»e tjiis. township the distinction of having poi) tributed over double the amount pf thp annual quota in tlie first live weeks q$ the .1947-48 year. Pongaroa was succesaful in completing the annual quota during the week, and ie tlvc second town in the. district to aphievc tlie year's objeetive. The list of suceessful towns for- the week .is follows: Apiti,' Ashhurst, Bulls, Banne virke, Feilding, Foxton, Glen Oroqa, Halcombe, Kimbolton, Levin, Pahiatua. Palmerston North, Pongaroa, Rangiotq. Rangiwahia, Rongotea, Sansqn, Shannon, Tokomaru, Weber, Weraroa and Woodville. 1
