LEVIN SCOUTS ENTERTAINED
ROTARY CLUB'S FAREWELL ' TO JAMBOREE BOYS The three Levin scouts, Stanley Small, Brian Allwood and Trevor Hudson, who leave on Wednesday en route to the world jamboree ih France, were guests at the Levin Rotary Club's weekly luncheon yesterday. The boys were introduced to members by Rotarian A. C. Kennerley, who is secretary of the Levin Scout Committee. They were welcomed by the club's president, Rotarian E. R. Winkler, who voiced the club's pleasure. at having Levin's ambassadors to the international jamboree present. Later in the proceedings Rotarian H. Black, chairman of the club's community service committee, said that he had come to know the three scouts well as a result of. his contact with them during the campaign which had culminated in the raising of the money required to send them tothe jamboree. In consequence he could sav that Levin wonld he
very worthily represented by them at the internationally important event they were to attend. From their visit they would glean a knowledge and experience which would be of immense benefit to themselves and their fellow scouts m Levin.' On behalf of' the club, Mr. Black wished' the boys a pleasant voyage, good scouting and a safe return. The speaker for the day was Rotarian N. A. Byrne and- dppropriately his subject was "France and the Traveller."
