SORTING LOOSE THREADS IN MURDER CASE
— — WELLINGTON, May 2. Inquiries show that Prancis Boy Wilkins, the victiin of the murder and robbery on April 21, - was an undiscliarge'd bankrupt. He filed 'in bankruptcy in 1930. The police have questioned a number of persons known to them as having records for crimes of violence and more than one so questioned has consulted his solicitor. There is no suggestion, however, that these inquiries have disclosed the suspect. Taxi drivers who were on duty on the night of the murder have been asked to report anytliing they saw which might have !a connection with the case. Twelve detectivcs are engaged on the case- and it remains at a stage where the loose threads are being sorted out. Other persons who have been closely questioned are men who have sat in on gambling schools.with Wilkins. He has been a well known habitue of the8e schools for a long time. No searcli of the sea bed at Evans Bay was carried out today.
