He demanded to kttoW where she kept her money. She told him it was. in the lifing room ' arid. he Itook possession of her prirse contaifiing £6 or £7. The room Was iri darkness, she said, and she was unable to get a good look at the man's featnres, Having poeketed the purse, the intruder order ed Mrs. Stitherland into a chair. He picked up sOme pieces of cloth arid tied her arms to .the sides of the chair arid gagged her mouth with portinn of \ pair of pyjamas. The man then clecampod.
