In many instances the quality • has been poor and values have been affected accordingly. Some isolated corisignments of peaches are also to hand, the quality of these likewise bei'ng consistent, Passiopfruit, figs, persimmons and Chinese v gooseberries have all been sought, .while a good saje exists for feijoas, quinces • and cape gooseberries, Increased consignments of flowers are noyr coming to hand, chrysanthemums, violets and asters bfeing popular varieties. Most varieties "of vegetables have also been available, although beans and peas, now in smaller quantities, have adva'nced in value. Kumeras are sought, while a ready demand exists for lettuce, pumpkins, swedes and parsnips. Only - small yardings qf poultry have been offered, values for prime birds aggin being maintained.
