WELLINGTON, April 27. The hat of Francis Roy Wilkins, garage pioprietor, who was murdered and robbed last Monday night, was discovered ,1a te on Saturday a few yards from the spot where the body was washed up at Evans Bay. It appeared to have been in the water some days. Gntil tests are carried out it is impossible to determine whether it is blood- ■ stained. Dozens of persons ansAvered "the police appeal to anyone who thought lie saw Wilkins or his car between 5.45 p.m. on Monday, when he left his garage, and 7.45 p.m. the same night. . . It will take a considerable time to sift suen evidence as may be available from these quarters.
