BADMINTON CLUB MEETS
— ♦ The annual meeting of the Koputaroa Badminton Club was held recently and the officers for uhe coming year were elected as follows: — President, Mr. T. Laing; vice-presidents: Messrs R. S. Brown and D. Kernohan; Secretary: Miss C. Fitzgerald; club captain: Mr. R. Pemberton; vice-captain: Mr. R. A. Kernohan; committeeman: Mr. W. E. Baker. The arranging of the supper for club nights was ijft in the hands of Mr. G. Pemberton. During £he evening Mr. Laing made mention of the good work done by the retiring president, Mr. E. F. Gibson, and a vote of thanks to him was passed by acclamation. The opening night will take place early in May.
