WELLINGTON, April 21. Cahinet has agreed to make a gift of £250,000 (N.Z. currency) to the Lord Mayor of London's fund to "be rised to alleviate distress caitsed "by the recent disastrous floods in Britain. This was annottnced tonight "by the Prime Minister who said he felt sure this gesture reflected the general feeling of sympathy of New Zealand people to their kinsfolk in Britain. He hoped the Government's lead and that of certain national organisations and. local hodies, would he widdiy followed.
