OTAKI-RAHUI BEAT HUI MAI
The senior game at Otaki between Hui Mai and Otaki-Rahui was marred by rain. It made the ball greasy and accurate passing was almost out of the questioh. .0 u both sides the players acquit;ed themselves well and showed fair form for so early in the seamh. Because of the cohditions he game developed into a forward jtruggle. ' , Hui Mai held an early lead, but Otaki-Rahui. eventually ran o'ut the winners by the narrbw margin of ohe point. Otaki -Rahui's points
came from two tries and a penalty goal and Hui Mai's. from a con- , Verted try and nenalty. Mr. B. Boyd was the referee. The fourth grade game between Otaki and Waikahae-Parapa-raumu was quite an interesting one. The southerners scored no iess than sixteen points in the first spell, Otaki held their own iri the second half and there was no Score. The Waikanae-Para-paraumu players had the advantage in both size and weight.
