ANZAC DAY IN LEVIN
COMMEMORATION ARRANGEMENTS The Levin brahch of the Returned Services' Association has completed its arrarpgements for the observance of Ahzac Day. As in past years a citizens' memorial service will he held in the Regent Theatre at 2.30 p.m.j and will be preceded by a short ceremony at the memorial in the Public Gardens. The parade will assemble at the Levin Primary School and march to the gardens, via Oxford Street, Bath Street and Cambridge Street, eiitering the gardens by the Cambridge Street gate. The order of march will be as follows: Levin Municipal Band, Horowhenua Pipe Band, returned Servicemen ahd women of both world wars, South Af rican War veterans, homeservicemen and women, girl guldes, boy scouts, brownies and cubs. Marshal of the parade will be Mr. J. Macfarlane. After the wreaths have been laid at the base 'of the memorial, a short service will be eondticted by Canon G. Y. Woodward, forhierly vicar of All Saints' Church, Palmerston North, but now resident in Levin. The parade will then return, leaving by the gate • at the north-west coiher of the gardens and proceeding via Queen Street and Oxford Street to the Regent Theatre, where the service vill. be conducted by the Mayor, Mr. H, B. Burdekin, and the ministers of " the local churches and the Salvation Army.. The order of service is as under: National Anthem, prayer (Canon G. Y. Woodward), hymn "Oh God our Help in Ages Past," Scripture reading, hymn "Nearer my God to Thee," address (Padre H. S. Kings, C.F.) , hymn "Abide With Me," the "Last Po^t" (Bugler G. R. Lester), Benediction (Padre A. Salmond, C.F.) and the National Anthem. At Koputaroa, a service will be Conducted by the Mayor of Levin, Mr. H. B. Burdekin, commencing at 10.30 a.m.
