Thanksgiving Services The Rev. J. H. Datson will conduct harvest thanksgivi'ng services in the Ven. Bede's ' Anglicar Church o'n, Sun day at 9 a.m. anc 7.30 p.m. Gifts of produce may b left at the church at any time o'r Saturday or Sunday. Gifts will b sent, as has been done in" the past to All Saints' Children's Home ai Palmerston North. Sunday schoo children will bring their gifts tc the church at 9.45 a.m. when Mr Datson will deliver a short address Carnival Attractions On Tuesday evening the twc Buckley girls in the popular gii\ contest, Misses J. Roberts and C Stern, held a successful dance in 1 the Ihakara Hall, the proceeds oi which were divided between the two girls. On Wednesday evening the town committee held a haraup dance in the Druids' Hall. There was not a very large gatherfng, but the committee will beneflt by the function. Last night saw two carnival attractions, when a dance was held in the Moutoa Hall for the benefit of the two Moutoa contestants in the popular girl competition, Misses J. Woodmass and V. Sanson. There was a good attendance.. Also, at Tokomaru, the Maori committee held a very successful Maori concert. The local hall was well filled j for the occasion.
