LEAGUE OF MOTHERS MEETS

In the unavoidahle absence of Mrs. Nicol, Mrs. W. Mudgway presided at the April meeting of the League of Mothers. Members, friends a-nd four representatives of the Wellington provincial committee we're welcomed. Six new members. were enrolled. . The thought for the month was given by Mrs. Muirhead. Mrs. Beveridge, president of the Miramar braneh, gave a most interesting. talk on "Martha and Mary," stressing the need of looking on the brighter side of life. Her talk was interspersed with the reading of appropriate poems'. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the speaker, .and' the visitors were presented with a bo'x of eggs. A most enjoyable afternoon was spent and the meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
