BRITISH LAND FORCES TO BE WITHDRAWN FROM IRAO
Received Thursday, 10.15 a.m. LONDON, April 16. All the British land forces and Indian troops will be withdrawn from Iraq ,bv the autumn. A small R.A.F. detachment will remain at Habanniyah airport, near Baghdad, and another at Shaibah. It is understood that the move is part of the nolicy to reduce British troops overseas.
