The principal f eature - of the April Austraian - Journai is the fitst instalment of a new threepart novel by Rett Rouget, former member of the A.I.F. and Middle East veteran. Rouget's novel is not, however, a war story., but a'nexciting drama whose eentral figure is an ex-soldier endeavouring to estafolish himself in civiiian life, while old "companions from a pre-war criminal past try to drag him back to his former "W/ays.' Filled with action, the story has the elusive quality of suspense, and should prove very popular.
