LEVIN CLUB'S COMPETITION
Members of the Levin Defence Rifle Club fired a double ten shot match at 300 yards and 500 yards on Saturday. -.The light was difficult, but there v/as very iittle wind to trouble the marksmon. R. R. Rolston shot well to return a 48 and a 49 at 300 yards and two 49's at 500 yards, a total of 195, out of a possible 200. Mr. F. Fletcher and S. Lumsden both returned 191 and F. J. Graham 189. With only one day's shooting at 600 yards required to comple'oethe championship series, the leading totals are: M. F. Fletcher 573, S. L. Lumsden and R, R. Itciston 571 and P. R. Catley 581. The A. W. Allen Cup competiticn resulted in a tie between P. R. Catley, M. F. Fletcher and Jim Horn, each scoring 192 out of a possible of 200. The Z. Munro Cup also resulted in a tie with P. R. Catley and S. L. Lumsden each returning 389 out of a possible of 400. Shoot-olfs will be necessary to decide the wuinecs. The leading totals f pr the j Sherlaw Cup are M. F, Fletcher 574, Jim Horn, S. Lumsden and R. R. Rolston 571 and J. G. Horn 565. This series will be completed the same day as the championship. rhe Hamilton Cup, presented for junior compctition, will also be
completed. The leading totals at present are F. Catley 564 and M.. G. Bishop 580. Next Saturday firing will commence at 9 a.m. at the 300 yard range. Visiti'ng teams from Ashhurst, Hautere and Ngatiawa will also be competing.
