REPRESENTATIVE SOFTBALL
Two Horowhenua representative softball teams recently travelled to Wellington for. games against Wellington teams. The Horowhenua men's B team was defeated by 23 points to nil by a Wellington team and the ladies' team was beaten by nine points to five by Miramar Aces. The ladies' game was particularly excitmg and the Horowhenua team did well to hold the Miramar Aces to such a low score. After the games . che players were entertained and a basketball match alfn played, Miramar again. winning by eight points to four. The winners in the Horowhehua Softball Association's cup competition are as follows: — Centre Shield: Raukawa Men; McKinley Memorial Cup: Ajax Men; B Grade Shield: Achilles B; McKay Cup: Raukawa Ladies; Homer Cup: Mr. W. Rose. V
