BEltTH, April 13. The Egyptian ship' Misr arrived at Eremantle today, with a passenger' lisl of 733, of whom 275 are Britisli. Most of the 458 aliens aooard are- Jewish a-efugees- from the Mfddle East. The vessei, which came from Pori Said, via Durbau, was formerly the Empire Mace, aud was built in Ameri ea in 1943 for charter by the United States War Shipping Administration to the British Ministry of.War Transport. She is of 7177 tons gross, and is listed as a eargo earrier, though she was iitted up during the war to aceommodate 750 troops. Durban reports allege overc.ro wding and slum conditious. The Australian Immigration Minister (Mr. Calwell), who is in Perth to meel the ship, at first banned both plioto graphers and reportcrs from the vesse!, but later allowed reporters aboard "for the usual mailboat interviews". Two immigration otlic-ials will travel .to Melbourne by the Misr in order to clieck the papers of all the aliens.
