The aamage is estimated at at leasi, 1/000,000 dollars. 'The -tornado tore through several other towns and the death rorl rose steadily* as communications were re estahlished. Twenty are reported .killed at ^Ciggins, a township of 750 people, and 12 killed at Woodward Which has a "population of 7000. -Wood■ward was left -in -darkness 'except for the eerie light "of scattered fires. The storm began at Canadian and an one hour swept 100 miles north to Woodward. Reports state that half Woodward was b.'own away. The dead and anjured were lying everywhere. The tornado levelled the town of Glazier. It also wrecked a freight train and tied np railway traffic. The hospitals at Striken and nearb.y towns overflowed with the injured. Amhulances, with doctors, nurses and medical supplies raced -from all parts of Texas and Oklahoma.
