DISAPPEARANCE OF WALLET WITH £125

GISBORNE, April 11. The police are investigating the reported disappearance of a wallet containing £125 from the shirt of Captain Frederick Thomas Chapman, actinp' skipper of the Fairmile launch which was towed to Gisborne last weekend after a breakdown near Tokomaru Bay. The captain hung his shirt on the wheelhouse bulkhead while he was working on the ship, and it disappeared between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
