They had spent 'nine days in Auckland. • Mr. D. Hay, who has been stqtionmaster at Leyin for the past seven years, has been transferred on promotion to Wellington as officer in charge of the putward goods department, His successor ' at Levin will be Mr. J. H. Norman, of Stratford. Mr. Hay has already taken up his new duties and until Mr. Norman arrives Mr. W. T. Dick, a, relieving officer, is acting stationmaster.
