A serious aftermath of tlie Easter lioliday break is that an acute sliortage of labour has developed on the waterfront and Wellington port is more congested than for some weeks. iScveral sliips were reported this morning to be lying idle because no labour was available and several others were undermanncd. At least oue vessel is being diverted from Wellington to Napier. It will probably be the , end of the week before the position riglits itself.
