END OF SEASON BOWLING
The Otaki Bowling Club, which has had a most successful season, will close its season at the week-. end. Members have had a most enjoyable season and many will regret that the green is to be closed. This is, necessary, however, to enable top-dressing to be carried . out ■ and the kerbing attended to, while it is to be hoped that attehtioiLiWili. be given to the antiquated . pavillion v which ' has served for some 40 years. Now that the Otaki green is to be closed, the Railway Club will endeavour o cater for players by leaving its green open, and it is the intention of the management to have fortnightly ' touinaments for several weeks yet. The green is at present in splendid order, and a good deal of enjoyment should be derived in playing on it.'
