MASTERTON, April 8'. A car driven by Charles William Patilin, of Lower Hutt, yes'terday okidded in loose metal on Whataki Saddle, about 35 miles from Mas- ■ certon, and f ell over a .bank, a disfcance of 70 feet. The driver was yhrown out half-way down the hill, out his mother and father remainod in the car. William H. Paulin, the father, :eceived multiple injuries and was ..dmitted to the Masterton Hos'piual. The mother reeeived medical attention and returned to her home i'n the Hutt.
