The Bluff Munioipal Fire Brigade, Harbour Board and Bo rough Gouncil's staffs, with residents, fought the (ire until 5.. *»() p.m. before it was considered under control. At 7.40 p.m! men left on duty found it neeessary to sumnion tlie brigade as the iire was again getling out of control. This time water was transported on lorries. The undergrowth was exceedtnglv dry due to the prolonged drv spell and the bush is under a constant Iire hazard.
