Himatangi : Establishment of new transmitting and receiving radio station.

Shannon - Foxton: Reconstruet and seal seven miles. Roads and Streets Horowhenua County : Replacement of Manawatu River Bridge at Rangitane. Miscellaneous roading improvements and renewal of • minor bridges. Railways and Airways Railways: Duplication of line between Otaki and Manakau, and between Levin and Koputaroa. Airways: Improvements at Levin and Feilding. Provision of fields for local bodies and aero clubS for private and club ftying as required chroughout the two regions. Utilities Horowhenua County: Waikanae water supply in coilaboration with Hutt County. Levin Borough: Installation of sewerage system. . Horowhenua Power Board: Mangahao-Levin transmission line and sub-station and transformers at Levin; new office building and showroom at Levin. Housing Horowhenua County : Housing scheme. # State housing: Development of d' sites -and erection of houses throughout the regions to meet the proved demand. Native -housing: Erection of houses and improvements to substandard Maori dwellings; provision of rental houses in larger towns. Social and Cultural Mental Hospitals Department: Additions and alterations to Levin Farm Hospital, Kimberley Road. Palmerston North Hospital Board: New maternity hospitals at Levin and Foxton; alterations and improvements , at Otaki Sanatorium; Western Districts' Sanatorium, participation in a scheme for the provision of a sanatorioum to serve districts as far north as Taumarunui.
