Personal Mrs. Townrow is at present on holiday in Timaru. Mrs. Halligan, of Napier, is visiting her sister, Mrs. Davies, Otaki Railway. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace D'Ath are leaving at an early date for New Plymouth and Auckland on holiday. Mrs. Cahill, who has been in Bowen Hospital, WelUngton, arrived home on Saturday, benefited by the treatment received. The death occurred at Palmerston North this morning at the advanced age of .95 years, of Mrs. Tester, mother of Mr. George Tester, of Otaki. Girl Guides for Otaki A meeting of those interested in the formation of a Girl Guide Company at Otaki will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 3.45 p.m. The Sneak Thief The sneak thief is a person that is usually active late at night or early in the morning. Recently fruit trees were stripped of their products, while milk .bottles have been emptied of cash placed therein for the milkman. A Pleasant Evening . Those who attended the Otaki Band's social, held at the Raukawa Hall on Friday night, spent a: most enjoyable time. Spirited music was provided by Messrs. Sharp and Bennett, while Mr. J. Miller was a capable M.C. The arrangements were well arranged and ably carried out.
