Terrorists Blow Up Oil Line At Haifa

Received Saturday, 9.30 a.m. JERUSALEM, March 28Two violent explosions and an outbreak of fire followed an attack by saboteurs on the Iraq Petroleum Company's pipeline near the Shell Oil Company's ,dock in the Haifa Bay area. The police said five Jews disguised as Arabs and armed with revolvers penetrated the dock area defences and placed small explosive charges under the pipeline at several points. A fire which followed the explosions spread to the Shell Oil Company's tanks destroying large quantities of oil and benzine. The Jews escaped. The police cordoned oflc the area. The British United Press correspondent reports that a Jewish police corporal who was shot and seriously wounded in Jerusalem has died in hospital. The underground are believed to have attacked him because he gave information to the Palestine Criminal Investigation Department.
