GISBORNE, March 28. Th'e irhpression given by ~oV£rseas radio broadcasts that Gisborne was inundated by the tidal wave on Wednesday are ludiricous, stated the Mayor of Gisborne, Mr. N. H. BUll, tdday. These wildly exagger•ated "stories have caused public iffdignatioh. The wave that ran up Turanganui River on Wednes"da'y mdrning did no damage whatever in Gisborne.
