AUCKLAND, March 27. 'l'lic scvcnth anniversary of thc death of the first Labour Prime Minister was conimemorated at the fSavage Memorial, Bastion Point, by the laying of wreaths on the tomb. The xnauspleiim was open to the public between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and an olticial ceremony in which the Prime Minister took part, was hel-J at 12.30. Special buses provided by the Auckland Labour representation committee, rau from the city'to take people to the ceremony which attraeted between 300 and 400 people. Led by the Prime Minister a procession of Labour Party represenlatives and friends oi Mr. Savage, many carrying wreaths, entered the sunken garden of rememhrance and advancod to the tomb, Mr. J
Fraser laid • two wreaths, oue from members of Cabinet and the other on behalf of Labour mdnibers of Parliament. He was folldwed by prominent members of the Labour movement and representatives of party branclies and iopal trade unions. - f
