WELLINGTON, This Day. With Easter racing opening next week* tomprrow's f onn at Awapuni, where the Manawata Racing Club's autumn fixture will conclude, will be watched with keen interest. Weather conditions are fair, but prospects at time of writing were not too favourable. Unless reasonable rain falls the goiiig will be hard.

The distance of the Kfng Gfcorge Hanciicap will suit Swift Quarry, whose recent form has been good. He ran, an excellent race at the recent Trentham meeting and is due for success. Langue d'Or is well and a slight easing of the track will be to his adVantage. Royal Victor is improving ~ with racmg and is due to reach the winning list at any time. Otliers with prospects are Flying Gold, Longsword and Flying Ace. So well did Fort Royal win the Johnston Memorial on the first day that his prospects of repeating his form in the Longburn Handicap appear very bright. He is nicely. piaced and the opposition is not as strong. as he beat dn the first day, say with the exception of Brown Derby, who is a class sprinter. He was heavily supported at Trentham, but did not race kindly. However, he is not meeting the same class tomorrow. An improver is Dymondy. He will appreciate an easing in the. going. Craven, Trig Point, Sorrel and Lord Theio are the best of the others. The last named was strongly fancied on the second day at Trentham, but did not seem to appreciate the long straight. The turning curves at Awapuni will be to his liking. Other meetings tomorrow are Waimate and Birchwood and the second day of the Metropolitan Trots at Addington. Prospects for these meetings are:
