CONCERN AT RISING PRICES
Received Thursdav, 7 p.m. WASIIIX GTOX, March 26. President Truman told a Press con ferenee today that he had been con eerned for sonie time about rising prices generally. Ile hoped thev would \not continue to rise find that business would see ihe handwriting 011 the wall. Asked what he meant by tliis last statement, Mr. Truman said that it priee rises eonliiiued an iuflation spirai would be started and lead to anothei ro timi oi new wage demands which might be endless. Mr. Truman commended the example set by the International Harvester and lord Goinj)anies in redueing prices, and said he hoped that others would emu late them.
