ASHBURTON, March 21. « At miclday the employees of the Canterbfir'y Frozen Meat Company's Fairfield freezing works downed tools presumably going. out on strike, according- to a statement made this afternoon by Mr G. M. Breeze (manager). Mr. Breeze believed that the strike was being carried out on c-rders from the Freezing Workers' Union and would probably apply to all wmrks in the province.
