A further aggravation of the already serious electric power situation oc eun'od today when the bar at Westport becfinie unworkable for the tirst time this montli, resulting in delay to th. collier Kakapo whieh has on board 1400 tons for the King's Wharf generating station at Auckland. It was thought possible she would be able to sail on Ihe evening tide at 9 p.m. So far the state of the bar has noi afl'ected colliers in the West Coast Wellington trade, the Kai mai having got away from Westport just before tioconditions became too bad.
