LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
WORLD SCOUT JAMBOREE Sir, — It was with more than passing interest that I read "Old Scout's" letter yesterday. I too, had the "pleasure" of contributing the lowly threepence to the collection boxes for the scouts on Tuesday last, and wondered at the time what it was all about. Whereas some weeks ago publicity was given to the jamboree, we have heard little of late as to whether the jamboree is in fact being held. It was rumoured that only about 20 lads'from New Zealand would be attending. I am sure "Old Scout's suggestion that the local eommittee give your readers some concrete details is an excellent one, and I should like to suggest that a statement of receipts to date be supplied, along with the actual cost of sending the . three scouts nominated in Levin. We elder qnes would like to help in a really ■>pi!actical way, not in mere threepences, so I do hope the eommittee will give the info.rmation asked for. Yours etc., "ANOTHER OLD SCOUT." Levin, March 20.
