For country institutions, preference will be given to single men capable of supervising farm work and outside work generally. Commencing salary £325 p.a. rising to £365 p.m. with good opportunities for promotion to higher ranks at salaries up to £680vp.a. Fofr Single officers a deduction of £10 p.a. is made wherc quarters are provided. Free rations and an extra allowance of £15 p.a. is paid to Single officers at Prison Farm Camps. For married officers a deduction of £30 p.a. is made when an jfficial residence is provided but a house allowance of £65 p.a. will be -nqiri when no official residence is available.
