He added that probably 18 per cent. of Amritsar was destroyed. . Dcshpande, one of the general secretaries of the All-Tndia Mahasabha (Hindu Orthodox Organisation), 011 a eharge of defving an order served last week directing hini to leave the Punjab. In New Delhi today the president of Mahasabha, wliom the Punjab Government prohibits eniering the Punjab, urged Ilindus and Silchs not to be swayed any longer by "cheap slogans and false prophecies" but to resist hooliganism whenever and wherever possible.
