ENTHRONEMENT OF BISHOP
By Telegraph — Press Association WELLINGTON, Mar. 11. With three portentous kuocks on its western jtortal, which rang through the Catliedral Churcli of St. .Paul's in Wellington last night, Bishop K. H. Owen aunounced that he desired to be inducted, iustalled and enthroned in the bishopric of Wellington. The atniosphere of alniost inedieval pageantry which had been appareut at the Bishop 's consecration on Sunda'y was enlianced by clie darkness^of the night, the increased number of clergy able to be present on a Aveek nigat, and the crowded congregation. Outside there was a grcater crowd than-that which assembied on S'unday morning. The congregation included the Prime Minister (Mr. Eraser), and with him

Holland, Leader of the Opposition, and Mrs. Bowden; the High Commissioner for the United Kingdoin, Sir Patrick Buff, and Lady Dulf; the Mayor and Mayoress of Wel lington, Mr. and Mrs. Appleton; ollicial representatives of other denominations and leading citizens. ; The procession was in the same ordei. as for the consecration, but accompanying the Most Rev. the Archbishop of New Zealand and the Bishops of Aotea roa, Dunedin, Auckland and Nelson, there were alniost double the number oi other clergy and lay rcaders there were on the previous day.
