Lr attracted an attendance estimated at 12,000 and was won by the Ruahine Highland Pipe Band (Dannevirke) in the A G-rade and St. Andrew's Coll'ege (Christchurch) in the B Grade: A feature of' the selection played o'n Saturday night was the brilliant play ing- of the City of Christchurch Bandi which gained 99- points out' of a possible of 100.
